    Product Description

    TECHOEL FA8007 nano waterproof agent is a fluorinated compound solution that utilizes a fluorinated solvent as its medium, possessing water and oil repellency properties.

    When applied to metal and plastic surfaces, it forms a very thin film on the coated surface after drying. This film exhibits very low surface tension, effectively preventing the penetration, outflow, and adhesion of lubricating oil, silicone oil, liquid resin, water, etc. This protective film, typically just a thin layer, enhances the moisture, stain, dust, and chemical resistance of electronic products.

    It prevents issues such as continued corrosion of solder joints and conductors exposed to air, provides shielding against and elimination of certain electromagnetic interferences, and offers insulation.

    Performance Principles

    • The wettability of a liquid on a solid is determined by their respective surface tensions when the liquid comes into contact with the solid;
    • The surface tension of a solid is represented by its critical surface tension (γc). When the liquid surface tension satisfies γ ≦ γc, the liquid will wet (spread on) the solid surface;
    • If a dry film with lower surface tension (γ) than the liquid is formed on the solid surface, the liquid will flow or remain stationary on the interface without wetting.
